Make Mother's Day Memories

This is going to be a difficult Mother's Day for our family this year.  My Mother-In-Law was diagnosed with Brain Cancer a little over a month ago.  She is currently receiving radiation.  This will probably be our last Mother's Day with her.  I want to cherish every moment of the day with her.  I am going to be making a special ham dinner to bring to her home.  I bought her a wig as a gift since she lost all of her hair.  I will be getting her other gifts as well that will be useful and keep her comforted.    She means the world to me and is the sweetest, most loving woman I have ever known.  When my mother died in 1999 she was there to comfort me and has always made me feel like I was a daughter to her as well.

My wish is for all of you to remember the women who have nurtured, loved and influenced your lives on this Mother's Day.  May the memories that you make last your lifetime.

                                                      Happy Mother's Day

  1. I am so sorry to hear this. This was the 3rd year I celebrated without my mom. I lost her to cancer. 5 months from the day she was diagnosed. There wasn't a lot of time to make memories so I encourage you to do so. Most of all, don't hesitate to talk to her, ask her questions about the past, how she feels, is she scared, etc. I sure wish I had. My thoughts are with you and your family.
