Stay Active! My #WeightWatchers Journey- Week 20

Hey everyone!  I hope you had a great week.  This week's meeting has my mind working.  We talked about activity and different ways to get in some sort of exercise.  Basically, get up and move!

I am going to lay the cards on the table right here.... I hate to exercise!  There I said it.  I love walking, but I hate going to the gym.  I use to go all of the time and it is my New Year's resolution to get back into one.  But, I have to be honest.  I would rather work out at home.  I like quiet.  I hate distractions and I like to work out at my own pace.

Here are some ways that I use to get more activity in my weekly routine.

I park far from the door when I go to stores.  This forces me to get in more steps.

I take stairs whenever I can, and if there is an escalator, I walk up it.

I have a smart tv, so I go to Youtube and I search virtual walks, stand in front of my tv and walk in place for the duration of the video.  Sometimes I even ride my stationary bike for the duration of it.

Here is a great example of one of the Virtual walks

There are so many on Youtube and you can choose one with the length you would like.

Don't have a smart tv?  Stand in front of your computer.  Whatever works for you.

Take time this week to think of ways to get more activity into your days.  If you have any great ideas, please share them here or on my Facebook wall!  I love reading them!

This week I lost 1.6 lbs!  Bringing my total for the month so far to 4.6 lbs! Hopefully by the 31st I get to my 5 lb goal.

For the month of February, I plan to lose another 5 or more but I also plan to get in more activity.

Do you make small goals for yourself?  They really do help.  Also, writing things down, helps you to be accountable for them.  The things you write can be really beneficial.  I write notes to myself,  I write down my meals, and drinks, I write down my strengths and weaknesses and where I want to improve... I can go on and on.

Sometimes when you see things in black and white, it helps put them from your mind to your reality.  Give it a try.  Seeing is believing.

Think about that.

Have a great week.  I will!
