There is So Much To Do and See In Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is my most favorite place to be when I am traveling.  The crisp mountain air, the abundance of attractions, the delicious Pennsylvania Dutch meals and of course all of the auto racing are just some of the reasons why I love to visit.

From quaint little towns like Lititz, historic towns like Bethlehem, to big bustling cities like Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has something for everyone to enjoy.

Did you know that Pennsylvania was a hotbed for antiques?  There are so many antique malls and shops, as well as outdoor flea markets scattered throughout the state. I always make sure to visit a few each time I visit. The town of Hanover has many antique centers and shops and often visited by antique hunters.  There are many other towns in Pennsylvania that offer many shops as well.

If you are a history buff, Pennsylvania has plenty! From the battles of Gettysburg to the signing of the Declaration of  Independence in Philadelphia, plenty of our nation's history took place in this state.

Sports fans can get their fix of many sports in Pennsylvania with its MLB, NFL, NHL teams.  But did you know that they also have many minor league stadiums and an abundance of auto racing tracks at every level?  I have personally been to almost every track in the state and have watched all kinds of dirt and asphalt racing.  As a matter of fact, sprint car races, which involve cars with wings on top that travel over 100 miles an hour, are one of my favorite to spectate.  You can often find me and my husband at a sprint car track in Pennsylvania during racing season.

Perhaps you enjoy craft beers or wineries.  Pennsylvania has plenty of  wineries and breweries to visit.  As a matter of fact, the oldest brewery in the United States, Yuengling, is located here in Pottsville.

If you are a foodie, I highly recommend visiting the Lancaster area for some good, old fashioned Pennsylvania Dutch or Amish cooking.  There are also plenty of great BBQ restaurants and also pig and chicken roasts that usually take place around the state throughout the year.

Art lovers will enjoy the many museums, including the Mr. Rogers Exhibit at the Heinz History Center and the Andy Warhol museum, both located in Pittsburgh.  There are also many art inspired shops throughout the state to see as well.

Thrill seekers will love all of the great amusement parks including Hershey Park, Knoebels and Dorney Park!  They have tons of great rides, roller coasters and water parks too!

No matter what you enjoy, Pennsylvania is a perfect family spot and

has something for everyone!
