#Superbowl Guide - Welcome to New Jersey. Things to do.

I am so excited that the Superbowl is being played here in my home state this year.  You can feel the excitement in the air.  Concerts and events are abundant.  Being from the Tri-State area, I am use to the fast paced lifestyle that surrounds me every day.  If you plan on visiting for this event, be prepared!  If you order food in a restaurant, you will usually have it in front of you within 10 minutes tops.  If you go to a drive thru or fast food place,  you will most likely have it in 2.  I highly recommend you have pizza while visiting.  Some of the best pizza in the USA is made here in the area.  Look for the local pizzerias, not the chains. If you're looking to listen to local sports on the radio, check out 660 AM or 101.9 FM for WFAN and 98.7 ESPN FM .   Local news and weather can be found on 880 AM (traffic and weather on the 8s) or 1010 AM (has traffic and weather on the 1s) For TV Sports there are too many stations to mention but the Superbowl itself will be

Hurry Spring!

This cold weather is putting me in survival mode.  I never throught I'd be sitting in my home wearing gloves and a ski hat , but here I am doing just that.    I find myself cooking and baking all day.  In the past 2 days I've made  beef stew, a pot of chili, coffee cake muffins and meshi, which is ground beef with minced onion, tomato sauce and diced peppers wrapped in foil (like stuffed cabbage) and boiled in mint tea.  I haven't even been hungry. I am just cooking to stay warm. Plus, I figure if we lose power from this frigid weather, I can start a fire in the fireplace and throw a pot of food on it, if I don't freeze first. How have you been fairing in this cold polar weather?   Here are some tips for keeping warm in the winter from thesimpledollar.com.  I hope they can be useful for you.   Stay warm my friends! http://www.thesimpledollar.com/ten-tricks-for-staying-warm-this-winter-without-huge-energy-bills/
