Did you know that August 30th was National Slinky Day? Who knew that a simple metal spring toy could turn out to be one of the world's most iconic toys despite all of the technology that has increased around it. Slinky has been around for close to 75 years! It originated as a mishap in a warehouse and turned into an inspiration for the toy that it is today. A toy that is now inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame and named one of the 100 most memorable and creative toys of the 20th century. The slinky is a simple toy with a unique design which is what attributes to it's success. It has captivated children and adults by walking down stairs on it's own. Do you recall the slinky song?
