Swagbucks is a rewards site where you earn points (called SB) for things you're probably doing online already, like searching, watching videos, discovering deals, and taking surveys. Here's how:  1.  Visit Swagbucks to join today! 2. Earn 300 SB total before 12/1/17. You'll get a $3 (300 SB) bonus for it!  3. If you want even more bonuses, you'll get a $10 (1000 SB rebate) bonus for making your first shop purchase! That's in addition to the SB you earn for every dollar you spend.  That's it. It's super easy, and Swagbucks is for real. I use it myself, and I've earned Amazon cards, paypal cash and more.

How to Keep Your Skin Winter Ready

The cold weather is here and it is time to start preparing your skin for the harsh winter months.  I don't know about you, but  I get very dry skin in the winter.  It gets itchy and ashy and I hate it! Here are some tips that I use to help keep my skin looking it's best all season long. 1.  Seek professional advice You should always seek the advice of your doctor if you have any type of skin ailment, especially if you suffer from very dry skin. Your condition may be caused by something more severe than the weather and may need to be treated differently. 2. Moisturize! Keeping your skin moisturized is very important. Look for soaps and body washes that don't contain alcohol, which can dry out your skin.  Also, look for lotions and creams that are gentle on your skin and apply them immediately after bathing or showering so that they are more effective.  You may also want to keep a small tube of lotion in your desk, briefcase or purse

Tis the Season For Giving - How To Make Wise Donations

This is the season for good will.  There are many charities and organizations that need our help by volunteering our time or making monetary donations. Every year at this time, my husband and I decide which charities we will be making donations to, in addition to our usual donations.  There are local charities that house homeless families that we like to donate to.   In today's day and age of "Funding" pages and scam websites, it is important for us to do research before making any type of charitable donations.  Unless you personally hand deliver your donation, you really don't know where your money is going to. Another factor in making donations is knowing exactly how the money is being spent.  I like to give to charities that use my funds responsibly.  I don't want to send money to charities that are only using pennies per dollar, of my donation, to help those that my money is intended for.  I want the bulk of my donation to be spent to

Celebrate National Adopt a Dog Month With Your Children

Maverick and Me is an adorable story about animal adoption.  It was written by ASPCA Ambassador Katherine Schwarzenegger. In this book, sweet little Maverick is found abandoned and ill, by a loving woman who takes him into her home and nurses him back to health.  Once Maverick is healthy, he is then taken to a local adoption event to be put up for adoption.    On adoption day, Maverick sits in his cage all day waiting for someone to come along and give him his forever home, but the day is drawing to a close and he is the only dog left to be adopted.  Just then, little Scarlett happens to show up at the event with her mother, who has no intentions of adopting a dog. When Scarlett's mother sees the beautiful bond between Maverick and her daughter, she decided to adopt him. Maverick instantly knows he has found a new best friend, his forever home and will always be loved. This book is beautifully illustrated with vivid colors and pictures that tell the s

A Day at the Farm is a Day Well Spent

I love visiting local farms.  I get great satisfaction by supporting local farmers. Being at  the local farm is very relaxing to me.  The beautiful colors of all of fruits and vegetables, the sounds of the wind blowing through the apple trees, and the sounds of the farm animals are all so wonderful to see and hear.   Recently, I visited a local "pick your own" farm and loved seeing how many of the fruit and vegetable I eat are grown. The cabbage was probably the hardest to pick.  They are very sturdy and I had to get help from some younger kids to help me get it off of the stalk. I enjoyed picking my own tomatoes, peppers and cabbage.  They taste so fresh straight from the vine.  It is nice to know exactly where the food I eat is coming from. I even picked my own apples and grapes.  The grape vines smelled so good. The animals on the farm were enjoyable to watch.  The baby goats were so shy and adorable.  They hid behind a
