Keeping Your Skin Winter Ready

The cold weather is here and it is time to start preparing your skin for the harsh winter months.  I don't know about you, but  I get very dry skin in the winter. Here are some tips that I use to help keep my skin looking it's best all season long. 1.  Seek professional advice You should always seek the advice of your doctor if you have any type of skin ailment, especially if you suffer from very dry skin. Your condition may be caused by something more severe than the weather and may need to be treated differently. 2. Moisturize! Keeping your skin moisturized is very important. Look for soaps and bodywashes that don't contain alcohol, which can dry out your skin.  Also, look for lotions and creams that are gentle on your skin and apply them immediately after bathing or showering so that they are more effective.  You may also want to keep a small tube of lotion in your desk, briefcase or purse to apply when needed. 3. Wear Glov

Coat berries in a tbsp of flour pour over cake mix or place them in a design if you would like. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Work Out in Style with Modern Temple Art Deco Yoga Leggings

If you are looking for unique, quality leggings, Moder n Temple has them. Modern Temple Art DecoYoga leggings are lined for extra protection.  I like to do squat and lunge exercises and these are great for that.  You have that extra layer of protection for privacy. The pants are so soft and the quality is very nice.  They are a mix of polyester and spandex and move nicely with my body when I work out.  There is an inner pocket that I can hold things in and the waste band sits nicely and doesn't roll down as I work out. I like the wide band on the waist of these Modern Temple Art Deco Yoga Leggings.  It helps give support and doesn't dig into my waist.  These pants are so luxuriously soft and comfortable to wear for working out or just lounging around.  They are pretty enough to wear anywhere. These are true to size, so whatever size you normally purchase should be fine. These yoga leggings are printed and sewn in the USA. The colors and pattern

Peanut Butter Blossoms Recipe

Peanut Butter blossoms have always been my husband's favorite cookie.  They are easy to make and are soft and delicious. Ingredients 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed down in cup) 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1/2 cup softened butter (not melted) 1 egg 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour 3/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp baking powder In a separate small bowl 1/2 cup sugar Also set aside unwrapped candy kisses for each cookie. ⭐ Directions Preheat oven to 375. Combine all ingredients except for the extra small bowl of sugar Roll dough into 1 inch balls.  I find that using a cookie scooper makes perfect size. Place rolled cookie balls into the bowl of sugar and gently roll them until covered in sugar. Place cookie ball on a cookie sheet.  I like to put 3 - 4 per row, leaving about 1-1/2 to 2 inches in between each ball.  I generally bake 12 - 16 cookies per sheet. Bake 10 minutes per batch or until th

How Your Logo Design Can Impact Your Business

Having a blog or a business takes a lot of hard work and effort.  We know that the 3 rules of running a successful business are location, location, location.  So, lets assume that you've picked out the perfect location.  Now the next step would be how to market your service or your product. For starters, you want to make a good first impression with an attention grabber, such as your business logo. A lot of thought has to go into your logo because it is going to be the storefront of who you are, what you do and what you represent. Your potential clients should be able to look at your logo and know exactly what you are selling or what you are trying to convey.  Things as simple as the color of your logo can make a huge impact on how consumers view your business or product.  If you are trying to convey a relaxed tone, you aren't going to have a vibrant colored logo.  The font is important too.  These little  components add up to one big outcome.  Before you take t

Fill Your Holiday Stockings with Palmer Chocolates

WINNER: YOLANDA D. I can remember getting Palmer chocolates in my Christmas stocking when I was a little girl.  I use to get so excited seeing the pretty, foil wrapped bells, balls and Christmas characters.  I still get a smile on my face every time I see the Palmer logo.  It brings back so many great memories to me. As my son was growing up, Santa often filled his stocking with Palmer confections.  Some of his favorites were the fudge bells, peanut butter cups and foil wrapped Santas. This year, Palmer Chocolates has a wonderful assortment of chocolates that I think you will love.  They are reasonably priced and perfectly wrapped for gift giving, stocking stuffing and serving guests.    They include: Stocking Puppies: Foiled in life-like Golden Retriever and Dalmatian graphics, the adorable puppies are the perfect stocking stuffer. 3.5 oz. Hollow milk chocolate - SRP: $3.00 . I love these stocking puppies, they are beautifully illustrate
