The wines I received in my one month subscription box included Red Rhino Pinotage (Red Vintage 2016.  This wine is from South Africa in the Groenberg Mountain Region.  It is made using 100% Pinotage grapes.  This wine makes a great aperitif, but also pairs beautifully with red meat, wild game, pizza, spicy food and sushi.  It is best served at room temperature or slightly chilled.   I enjoyed this wine very much.  It had a medium density with great nectar flavor and subtle hints of strawberry and mulberry.  This is the type of wine I enjoy.  I use to be a white wine person, but lately I have been leaning more toward the reds.

Another wine I received was Estampa Family Estate Viognier Chardonnay, Vintage 2017 White.  This wine is made in Chile, in the Colchagua Valley.  It is made using Vlogrier and Chardonnay grapes.   This wine was nice and light, yet full bodied.  There are notes of peach, pear,  and violet. It also has citric notes of lime and pink grapefruit.   It is a lovely wine.  It pairs great with seafood.

The final wine I received was 2014 Yapa Carmenere.  This wine is also from Chile, Colchagua Valley.  This is a nice fruit wine that isn't sweet. It is full bodied It pairs great with meats including beef and lamb, as well as pasta and poultry.

I was very pleased with the wine selections that I received from Greatclubs.com.  Each bottle was a wine that I would be happy to serve guests and would definitely purchase again.  These are wines that I probably would never have heard of or thought to try if it weren't for this club.  That is what I like about it.  It introduces me to new things and takes me out of my comfort zone, allowing me to explore great new wines.
