We recently took a little break so that we could travel a little and so that I can do some research on designs and styles that I want for my kitchen and bathroom.
In addition, we are planning to add another bathroom to our second floor and include a walk in shower. I was looking at Kohler LuxStone showers. They are so beautiful and offer us so many different options. The shower pictured above had a very nice pattern And color that would work well in my home.
There is a large selection of shower wall colors and patterns, as well as shelving options and accessories, so that I can tailor my shower exactly as I want it. Another nice thing about their products is that they are durable and easy to clean, which is just what I want in a shower. My space for my new shower is a bit unique, but thankfully I will be able to get a shower that is custom made to fit perfectly if I decide to go that route. It can even be installed and used on the same day!
I was reading that the Kohler LuxStone shower systems were resistant to mold because of the way it is installed with hidden joints and trim. There are so many pluses that I think this decision is going to be a no brainer. The hardest part for me is going to be picking out colors and styles.
I’ve always liked shower benches. So, I definitely plan on adding one when I add my new bathroom. I also like built in shelving because it is so convenient for holding things. For my existing bathroom on my first floor, I am debating on keeping my existing porcelain tub and having it refinished, adding a tub cover, or getting a new tub. I have so many decisions to be excited about. Flooring is another big decision in my bathroom. I was debating on tile, stone or waterproof laminate. I like them all! I know whichever decision I make will be the best one.
Finally, I want to be smart when choosing a toilet for my bathroom. The toilet is one of the most useful amenity in any home. On top of the list is, of course, the design. I want a toilet that doesn’t only look clean but is also hard-wearing. I’m eyeing a durable macerating upflush toilet. This way, I wouldn’t have to worry about my toilet clogging and my bathroom smelling awful. Plus, I can install it on my own since I don’t have to break the concrete floor to connect to the drainage line.
I think a good decision for anyone looking to have their bathroom or kitchen remodeled is to speak to a professional who can guide them in the proper direction and help them stay within their budget. Because I am doing both my existing lower level bathrooms and adding a new one, budget is important to me.
I can’t wait for our renovations to be done, but it’s been fun picking out flooring, paint and everything that we want in our home to personalize it for ourselves. It’s been a long overdue process that was worth waiting for because I love all of the latest options that are currently available.
Holy moly that's got to be the coolest shower I've ever seen! You've got great taste in design.
