Helpful Tips for Reducing Inflammation

Unfortunately, over the years I’ve developed arthritis, which can cause quite a bit of pain and inflammation in my body.  As anyone with arthritis will tell you, it is a very uncomfortable and sometimes even painful experience when arthritis flares up.

Flare-ups are times when you receive increased pain, stiffness and swelling in your joints. They can last from days to weeks.  I find that my arthritis flares up after extensive exercise or if I’m on my feet for long periods of time. Sometimes weather changes affect my body as well.  These flare ups have a great impact on my normal every day life, when they occur. They limit my mobility and make me miserable. Sometimes I just want to crawl up into a ball and try to sleep them away.

A few of the ways that I have found, to help reduce my arthritis, pain and swelling are  by using hot and cold, compresses, over-the-counter pain medications and also by using products like Dr. Hoys anti-inflammatory cream, that targets certain areas on my body that are having flareups.

Doctor Hoy's, are Pain Relief products that are manufactured in the United States employing “cold process manufacturing” and high quality, natural ingredients! Physical therapists, athletic trainers, chiropractors, massage therapists, and professional and collegiate athletes all praise the Doctor Hoy's Natural Pain Relief product line.

According to Arthritis.org, some other ways you can help to manage arthritis and take care of your body are:

  • Eat well. To stay as healthy as possible, give your body the best nourishment it needs. ...
  • Improve your posture. Good posture can prevent future arthritis pain. ...
  • Stay active. Regular exercise strengthens muscles that support the joints and improves flexibility and balance. ...
  • Take a break.
Of course, there really is no one way to prevent or treat arthritis pain, but these are helpful ways to help reduce pain and swelling.
