Who Said Adults Can't Have Fun at Disney Without Kids?!!

I just returned from a fun filled trip to Florida with my younger brother , visiting my older brother whom we hadn't seen in years.  It was so great to see him and his family.

Since my brother lives an hour from Orlando, we decided to take a sibling trip to the Magic Kingdom.  What a wonderful day we had!  The weather was perfect, in the 80s with a cool breeze.
The park was packed with families who all came to live the magic of Disney.

The first thing I did when I got into the park was purchase a Minnie Mouse headband. Come on now! You didn't think I would spend the day in the park without my mouse ears did you?

From the looks of everyone around me, no one else wanted to spend the day in the park without a bit of Disney apparel.  I saw the coolest tee shirts, head wear and more.  Disney fans are awesome!

As I made my entrance down Main Street USA, I was captivated by Cinderella's castle, which is the main focal point.  As I approached the castle, there stood the most beautiful statue of Walt Disney himself, clasping the hand of Mickey Mouse.  It was a beautiful site.  What a wonderful man with such a wonderful vision and imagination.  He has brought so much joy to so many people.

The first ride we decided to go on was  Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.  Other rides we rode on were :

Its A Small World
Jungle Cruise
Big Thunder Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Liberty Square Riverboat
Pirates of the Caribbean
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress
Walt Disney World Railroad

Shows we visited were:

Country Bear Jamboree
Mickey's PhilharMagic 4D Film Attraction
Walt Disney Enchanted Tiki Room

We purchased Fast Pass Plus, which allowed us to schedule our ride times in advance and saved us time standing on lines.  With Fast Pass Plus it allowed us to skip the lines and go right to the front.  It is well worth purchasing.

We got to see all of our favorite Disney characters at the Main Street Parade.  The floats were beautiful, colorful and full of animation.

Dining in Disney is Fantastic, you can choose from quick bites from stands along the park, or sit and dine in casual and fine dining restaurants.  We decided to try Mexican Food at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn  and Cafe.  I highly recommend it.  The portions were large and the food was very good. Later on in the evening we enjoyed a hotdog at Casey's Corner, located off Main Street.  Oh and how can I forget my Dole Whip Float?!  It is one of the things I wanted to try more than anything at Disney.  I had heard so much about it.  It was amazing!  Dole Whips can be found near the Aladdin ride.  Be sure to have one when you visit the park!

We capped off the evening with a little shopping on Main Street and of course the fabulous fireworks show.  It was a day I will cherish forever.
