Celebrate Christmas in July with Precious Moments

Christmas in July marks the halfway point to Christmas.  Many people enjoy celebrating Christmas during the month of July in a smaller way, and it is getting more popular year by year.  They throw parties that are similar to a Christmas celebration, only with warmer weather.  The parties include Santa, cold foods and even ice cream.  Others, start their Christmas shopping this month to get a head start on the holiday season.

Christmas in July is usually recognized as July 25 but also sometimes celebrated on July 12.

Did You Know?
In the  southern hemisphere, Christmas is actually celebrated in the summer. Residents from that area, began to throw Christmas celebrations in July, because that is the peak month of their winter season.


Origins 
Christmas in July started 84 years ago on July 24th and 25th in 1933 at a girls' camp called Keystone Camp in Brevard, North Carolina.
