Mike Tyson Figure and “Sharky” Go Fin to Fist at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas

Famous Wax Museum Celebrates Sunday’s Shark Week® Special 
by Inviting Guests to Place Their Bets Ahead of the Battle 

Las Vegas, NV (Aug. 6, 2020) – Will the shark take a bite of Mike Tyson or will one of the best heavyweights of all time win the bout? Madame Tussauds Las Vegas is inviting guests to place their bets in honor of Discovery Channel’s annual Shark Week® event which pits the two greats against each other for the ultimate underwater battle. The World’s Greatest Wax Museum is asking its guests to get in on the action by asking them to  place their bets by snapping a selfie with “Iron Mike” or “Sharky” as they chose who they believe will emerge victorious.

Sharky “swam” in from SEA LIFE® Arizona Aquarium for the role of the great white. The typically-friendly character entered the room as a fierce competitor, flashing a mouth full of teeth and raising his fins to Tyson’s figure. In an Instagram video promoting the fight, Tyson promises, “Someone’s gonna get bit.” Viewers can find out if Sharky’s friends will sink their teeth in or if “the baddest man on the planet” will bite again this Sunday, August 9, at 9 p.m. ET. Until then, fans are invited to weigh in on the winner on Madame Tussauds Las Vegas’ Instagram page @tussaudsvegas.

Madame Tussauds studio artists took more than 300 measurements and thousands of photos to create the legendary boxer’s figure. It’s located in The Hangover Experience, along with his tiger. Fans are invited to meet the champ by visiting Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. Tickets are $29.99 on the day of visit and 24.99 if purchased in advance.
