Christmas Decorating Ideas on a Budget

I wanted to add some subtle decor to my home for Christmas without breaking the bank, so I visited my local Michael’s to pick up some Christmas floral picks and greenery to decorate inside and out.

If you have a lantern in your home, add a few sprigs of evergreen with pinecones and berries to give it a holiday feel.

You can make a light post more festive with a simple wreath and bow.

Wondering how to decorate your lighting?  I took a lightweight frosted evergreen vine and wrapped it around my chandelier to make it more festive.  You can also add some miniature or fairy lights.

I wanted to give a little decoration to my mailbox, so I added a spray to the side.

For my entertainment center, I added lighted artificial evergreen to make it feel more Christmasy.

Last Christmas I created my own Christmas wreath by decorating a prelit wreath I received from King of Christmas. All of the embellishments were purchased from the dollar store.

Making your home feel more warm and cozy for the holidays doesn’t have to be costly.  Just use your craft sense and turn ordinary items in your home into decorations simply by using your imagination.
