Race Your Way Into His Heart with Adobe Wines Racing Series

This post is intended for adults 21 and older.

Regardless of relationship status, Valentine’s Day is the day of amore – whether you’re celebrating solo, with someone special, or with family and friends. A great way to celebrate is by treating yourself and those closest to you with an elegant, luxurious red wine. To help your readers toast to love and take the guessing out of selecting the perfect bottle of vino, I’d love to recommend a few splurge-worthy sips from one of California’s most notable wineries: Adobe Road Winery & The Racing Series

These have to be some of the most beautiful wine bottles I’ve ever seen. My husband and I are huge race fans and when I was given the opportunity to review these wines, I was very excited. If you know anything about racing and what goes on behind the scenes, you know the time, and detailed work that goes into fine tuning each automobile. The same time and effort has definitely gone into making these wines. The beauty and details of these bottles is just amazing. They’re even more beautiful in person.

The wine itself is wonderful!

The Adobe Shift is a wonderful red wine blend with deep flavors of fruit and floral. It has a very nice aroma. Perfect for pairing with my favorite Italian meals and also perfect to pair with steak. The bottle is made to resemble a vintage stick shift and is perfectly done.

SHIFT is a daring combination of Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Syrah, and Petite Sirah.

The Carbon blend is also a wonderful dark red wine with scents of licorice and black cherries. It has a nice bold flavor. Perfect to serve with his favorite meats. The cork top resembles a lug nut and the face of the bottle resembles a carbon fiber car grill. It’s beautiful!

About “The Racing Series”

Adobe Road launched “The Racing Series” in 2019 using the same philosophy that drives their success on the racetrack. “The Racing Series” is all about pushing the envelope and challenging existing norms. The wines represent the highest expression of what a premium red blend can be when pushed to the limit.

The racing parallels don’t end with just the wine. All “Racing Series” wines incorporate physical aspects of auto racing into thepackaging.  The CARBON label features a sheet of race-grade carbon fiber, and the cork is topped with a hex bolt similar those found in their racecars. “These kind of design details can be the keys to victory on the track. On the shelf, they help convey the racing experience and create a genuine sense of authenticity for the end consumer, Kevin Buckler.

More About Adobe Road Winery

Uniquely tied to the exciting world of professional sports car racing and garnering wins from racing around a track at 180 miles per hour at the highest levels of professional competition takes extreme focus, attention, and a drive for perfection. To professional race car driver and team owner, Kevin Buckler so does winemaking.

Following the legendary success of his professional race team The Racers Group (TRG), Kevin and his wife Debra opened Adobe Road Winery in the heart of Sonoma County in 2002. Their goal is to craft wines that exemplify the true essence of California’s most revered wine-growing regions. “We work hard to make sure each bottle of Adobe Road wine showcases the best attributes of each individual vineyard, within each appellation we source from,” says Kevin. “We choose the best parts of Sonoma and Napa Valley for our elite Cabernet Sauvignons, Dry Creek for our hedonistically rich Syrahs and Zinfandels, as well as the Petaluma Gap for our ethereal Pinot Noirs and lavishly flavored yet sleek Chardonnays.”

Adobe Road sacrifices nothing when it comes to producing its line-up of premium wines. Kevin himself spends countless hours working closely with his Winemaker, Garrett Martin, and team, to perfect the flavor and balance of each and every release. He takes the time to study the fruit, experiments with new blends and meticulously monitors the fermentation process ensuring the ideal conditions throughout production. Adobe Road knows the importance of nurturing its relationships with California’s most renowned and passionate growers. It is this attention to the details that bring out the personality and character of the wines and has garnered so many awards with prominent wine publications and industry competitions throughout the years.

In 2008, after substantial success, Adobe Road took the next steps in their growth when they moved into a production facility just steps away from their sister company TRG in Petaluma, CA. Kevin felt it imperative that he have uncompromising access and control of the process when making such special, artisanal wines, especially in these small, exclusive amounts. “There isn’t always a need for speed in my life,” jokes Buckler. The winery was specifically designed to allow Kevin and his team to spend time with each lot. Carefully monitoring each barrel allows him to make the right decisions at the ideal time. Kevin savors the process which helps him fully understand and manage the many variables that go into developing these prestigious wines.

In 2016 Kevin and Debra once again did what was necessary to support their fast-growing winery. They purchased a warehouse property on the riverfront of beautiful, historic Downtown Petaluma, a booming, character-rich, wine country town. The new facility will house not only the winery and tasting room, but a car museum, catering facilities, dining rooms, and visitor center.

The exceptional quality and success of Adobe Road’s wines and the multitude of accolades and notoriety awarded to this small boutiques winery boil down to one of Buckler’s most profound perspectives. ”The best grapes, from the best vineyards, make the best wines, period.” adoberoadwines.com
