This series is so good. When I first started watching I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s so relatable in a modern setting. The Bible characters, although placed in this modern setting, still have that unique characteristic about them, especially the apostles. The acting and settings are excellent. This is a series I’ll definitely be watching. I can’t wait to see how other stories from the Bible are played out.

I recently watched episodes 1-4 and saw modern twists on some of the first chapters of Acts. I watched as Saul became more and more determined to destroy followers of Jesus and as Stephen questioned his own faith. I watched Mary Magdalen become faced with challenges and her determination to change others around her. These are powerful re-enactments that are well portrayed in future settings.
