Looking to make some changes to your food selections in the new year? I have a couple of great products to add to your radar.
Amasar is a Puerto Rico/US–based, women-owned company pioneering breadfruit as a sustainable, naturally gluten-free, nutrient-dense pantry staple. Their three NON-GMO products — breadfruit flour, waffle mix, and pancake mix — are produced at a woman-owned 20-acre breadfruit agroforestry farm and state-of-the-art facility, ensuring purity, regenerative sourcing, and exceptional performance for everyday cooking.
Breadfruit offers a simple, nutritious swap for families looking for healthier, allergen-friendly baking options in the new year. It’s rich in fiber, minerals, and slow-release carbohydrates, making it a more nourishing alternative to traditional flour and a standout for 2026 wellness trends.
Available at 70+ natural food stores across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean, including Village Food Market (ME), Met Food Market (NY), Chamberlin’s (FL), Earth Origins (FL), Akin’s (OK/AR), Outpost Co-op (WI), and Freshmart (PR), Amasar is the perfect way to live up to healthier eating and living resolutions in the new year
I received a sample of Breadfruit Plant-based Pancake and Waffle Mix, and it’s delicious. It has 11g of Fiber, 2g of Protein, No Added Sugar and No Gums or Emulsifiers. It’s simple to mix with just a few ingredients and perfect for keeping me on track in the new year.
Another delicious product I’ve received is Flower Chef Foods Artisinal Gluten Free Penne. I love that every box of pasta helps to feed one child throughout their nonprofit Project Flower Power. The pasta itself is made with red lentils, flour, chickpeas, flour, whole rice, flour, and water. It has 19 g of protein and it is delicious.

Subtle changes in your routine can make big impacts. I have seen a lot of improvements as I’ve slowly been eliminating gluten and sugar from my daily routines.
