Italian Cookies: Authentic Recipes and Sweet Stories from Every Region

This Italian Cookies cookbook by Domenica Marchetti, is a literal piece of art. The minute I opened it, I felt like I stepped back into my grandmother‘s kitchen. I used to spend hours watching her bake.  It brought back so many wonderful memories. I never got a chance to learn any of her recipes, as I was so young.  When I saw many of the cookies we made together featured in this recipe book, it warmed my heart.

My sweet sister-in-law, who is a wonderful cook and baker invite me to her home to make some of the recipes together. We chose two of my grandmothers favorites, pizzelle and pignoli. The cookies came out delicious. My grandmother would’ve been proud of us. They were simple  to make and easy to follow the recipe. I can’t wait to try more recipes.

This Italian Cookies recipe book has so many of the classic Italian cookie recipes that we all know and love. It is available from Gibbs Smith publishing, and would make a wonderful gift for Mother’s Day and a perfect addition to any cookbook collection. Read more about it below.
