How much of an Influencer are you?

Are you familiar with Influenster.com?  Its a great site that sends you free products to try and write about on your social media accounts. Influenster is free to join and all you have to do is fill in information about your likes, dislikes and answer simple questions.  You wll then earn badges. With the badges you earn influence.  When new Influenster boxes are available, invites are sent out to influensters who meet the criteria of the boxes.  Of course you won't be invited for every box, but you will receive invites.  I've learned about a lot of new products through Influenster.  I love trying the products and sharing my views on them. If this is something you would be interested in, go to www.influenster.com  and join!  I know you will love it!

Recovering from the Storm

The past week I have been without power. It was finally restored last night .I've barely seen my husband. He has been on duty helping those in need.  I lost all of the food in my refrigerator and freezer.  I was cold, frustrated and angry and felt like I was cut off from the rest of the world.  But more importantly, I was blessed.  I thank God I still have a roof over my head and my family is safe. All of the things I lost are nothing compared to many in my state, and can be easily replaced.   There are many people in NJ and NY who aren't as fortunate as I was and who need help. Lives were lost.  Hundreds of homes have been completely destroyed  and there are thousands of people without power, food, water, clothing or ice. Some have only the clothing on their backs.  Gas lines are unbelievable. They are miles long.  These are things we take for granted everyday.  Many companies are coming to the aid of my lifelong state and I than...

Have a Safe School Year

It's that time of year again! As much as I enjoy summer, I look forward to the school year beginning. I like the structure it brings. But, along with that also comes concern for the safety of our children. I wanted to share a link to safekids.org with you. It has great tips for children of all ages, who walk to school, to keep them protected. Have a great school year and stay safe! http://www.safekids.org/safety-basics/safety-spotlight/back-to-school-safety/

Are you ready for the Superbowl?!!

It's Superbowl time! I am so excited that my favorite team, the New York Giants are in the Superbowl this year! I look forward to the Superbowl every year, but having them in it, makes it even more exciting for me to watch it. Each year my family gets together with my brothers and sister and their families and we throw a huge Superbowl bash. My sister in law cooks the most amazing foods and we love trying new snacks and recipes. We are always looking for a reason to have a get together. I came across this great 5 layer Mexican dip recipe from Kraft Foods and can't wait to try it! I wanted to share it with you, in case you were looking for an easy snack idea to entertain your guests. Fall is a great time for family and traditions

I love Fall. I know when October rolls around that I will be spending a weekend with my brothers and sister and their families, picking apples and then take a hayride to pick out pumpkins. It has also been a tradition, for as long as I can remember, to go through the haymaze and try to solve the clues. We then always get hot cider donuts that are fresh and warm from the oven. Do you have any family traditions that you look forward to every year?

Well hello again

It's been a while since I posted. My son graduated HS and has started college. I had a quiet summer and only took a couple of local trips. The flooding over the summer really took its toll on the area, thankfully we were spared in my town. However, others didnt fair as well. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who were effected.

This is my first post and I hope I'm doing this right

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! I am a SAHM married to my High School sweetheart with a teenage son who loves to enter sweeps, take surveys and test new products.  I love sharing great finds with my friends and love voicing my opinion.  You will probably read about alot of new products that I discover on this sight and I won't be posting daily but I will try to keep a weekly update on my blog. I will also try to bring you any good finds that I discover.  Hope you enjoy.  Feel free to subscribe.
